International student checklist before leaving your country – Covid 19 focus
IRCC says you can travel to Canada if meet the following requirements:
- Proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR) performed within 72 hours of your departure to Canada
- Valid study permit or letter of introduction from an approved designated learning institution (DLI)
- Submitted your travel plan through ArriveCan application and,
- You have a quarantine plan for 14 days
As of August 9th international students must be aware of the following changes:

All travellers must use ArriveCAN to enter their information, including proof of vaccination before arriving to Canada.

What Canada Border Services consider Fully Vaccinated:
- You received the full series of accepted COVID-19 vaccine
- You received the last dose at least 14 days prior to the day you enter Canada
- Vaccine information must be in French or English and uploaded in ArriveCAN app
